These traditional village houses can be found in Lakonia, a 10 minutes’ drive away from Aghios Nikolaos. They are situated at the top part of the village, nestled between lush green olive groves and village houses and gardens. They have been abandoned for many years but have lovely traditional features such as indoor arches and built-in beds. One of them was used to film the famous TV series “The Island”, based on Victoria Hislop’s novel of the same name. In the area around the property, are more village houses that are also available for sale. There are also very popular restaurants in the area with delicious Cretan food within 2-3 minutes’ drive in either direction. They all have terraces with lovely countryside views and some have a garden.
